Cheap and expendable pit droids repair Podracers, sometimes not even waiting for the racer to go into the pit. When not in use, pit droids can fold up out of the way.

The Pit Droid was introduced in version 1.0 of the game.
The Level Mover VIP is a Pit Droid, but using it will not unlock the character in the Album.
[edit] Scenes
The Pit Droid unlocks one scene, on the Watto's Wares level. As a Rebel, it is actively chased off any Imperial level.
